Chakra Cleanse Meditation

Chakra Cleanse Meditation

This week, we're sharing a meditation ritual for bringing your full chakra system back into balance. There are many behaviors, emotions and even manifested situations that can indicate one or more of your seven main energy centers may need some fine tuning. Take a look below to see each chakra's physical location, influence and correlated color before trying out the meditation.

Chakra Cleansing Meditation

This ritual can be done with your preferred method of meditation — sitting, lying down or walking. Just make sure you're comfortable and able to focus safely and uninterrupted.

If you have chakra healing stones for each chakras, place them atop the appropriate chakra zone of your body if you’re lying down, spread them in front of you if you’re sitting, or hold one at a time as you walk. If you prefer to stick with one stone, try clear quartz, amethyst, rose quartz or selenite.

Begin your session with three deep breaths: inhale through your nose following the breath into your belly; exhale fully through your mouth until your belly is empty. As you move through each breath, release any tension you feel in your body from head to toe. Focus on the feeling of air entering and exiting your body to clear your mind.

Start your cleansing at the root chakra, sending your attention to the base of your spine. Bring the vision of a warm red light to your root chakra center, breathing into the vibration. Notice how your body feels as you focus on your breath, visualize the light and receive energy from any crystals you are including in your session. Allow any thoughts to come through, as you may realize in the moment or later that those thoughts are being brought to your attention for a reason. Make a mental note to journal about them later.

Take the time you need to feel cleansed and trust when you feel ready to move on. As you begin to cleanse your sacral chakra, allow the red light to transition to orange and refocus on your lower abdomen. Continue in this way, with each chakra center receiving a bath with light of its correlating color.

Once you complete your cleansing at the crown chakra, take a moment to appreciate the energy flowing through you with ease. Take another round of three or more deep and intentional breaths, feeling your body release any leftover tension.

Moment of Reflection

How did that feel? What thoughts or memories came to mind? Pull out a journal and write about your experience with as much detail as you can. To close the session with high vibes, list 10 things you are grateful for in this moment.
